Maria is a senior researcher (Oberassistent) in the group of Engineering Seismology at SED (Schweizerischer Erdbebendienst) since May 2022. Maria is working on numerical modelling of strong ground motion and her goal is to implement and improve hybrid methods of modelling high frequency seismic waves for applications relevant to engineering seismology and seismic hazard assessment. Before joining SED, Maria was a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich, working on developing state-of-the-art full-waveform methodologies for modelling deep Earth structure.
