Overview

The SED offers various data products and services for access to seismological and earthquake-related information. Many of these services are primarily of scientific interest, but access is available to everyone.

In addition to the products, the SED also offers access to various software. Software that is still actively maintained is organized by general topic, and in the software archive section we archive those codes that may still be in use or useful, but which we no longer actively support. Please note the specific licenses that come with each code.

Software

The SED also provides access to various software that we developed and maintain in-house or as part of research collaborations, addressing a wide range of scientific topics.

Station information

In the station information section we assemble tools to retrieve more information about the SED monitoring network and specific station characteristics.

Earthquake catalogues

In the earthquake catalogues section you find services that provide access to parametric earthquake information (date / time / place / magnitude of seismic activity etc.)

Waveform data

In the waveform data section we describe various services to view and access the data collected at our monitoring stations.

Earthquake early warning algorithms and softwares

Discover algorithms and software such as FinDer and Virtual Seismologist as well as software for displaying EEW in our earthquake early warning section.

ShakeMap

SED ShakeMaps fully comply with the latest technical standards of earthquake research in Switzerland. Further information about SED ShakeMap can be found in the ShakeMaps section.
