Dr. Antonio Pio Rinaldi

Here at SED, I will focus my research on induced seismicity due to injection/withdraw of fluid at depth. I will study how to model coupled fluid flow and fault reactivation related to several geo-engineering and geo-technical applications, such EGS, carbon sequestration, and nuclear waste disposal. The goal is to reach a better understanding of the observed or expected induced seismicity for site in Switzerland and around the world.
