Die folgende Liste führt sämtliche im Bereich Basel vom Schweizerischen Erdbebendienst aufgezeichneten und lokalisierten Erdbeben seit dem Beginn der Injektion von Wasser in das Bohrloch auf.
Automatische Lokalisierungen sind durch ein A gekennzeichnet, manuelle durch ein M. Automatische Lokalisierungen werden überschrieben, sobald eine manuelle Auswertung durch einen Seismologen oder eine Seismologin vorliegt. Die Liste wird fortlaufend aktualisiert. Sämtliche Erdbeben sind auch auf unterschiedlichen Erdbebenkarten dargestellt. Sie erhalten zusätzliche Informationen, wenn Sie auf das Ereignis in der unten aufgeführten Liste klicken. Unten finden Sie weitere Informationen zu den Magnituden und eine Legende für die Tabelle (Nutzer des Microsoft Internet Explorer: bitte nach unten scrollen).

Die einzelnen Spalten der Tabelle enthalten folgende Informationen:

Zeit | Uhrzeit, zu der das Beben aufgetreten ist (24 Stunden-Anzeige). Die Angabe ist in UTC (Universal Time Coordinated). Die entsprechende Lokalzeit erhält man, wenn man zur UTC eine Stunde (Winterzeit) bzw. zwei Stunden (Sommerzeit) hinzuzählt. |
Breite | Geographische Breite, an der das Beben aufgetreten ist (in Dezimalgrad Nord) |
Länge | Geographische Länge, an der das Beben aufgetreten ist (in Dezimalgrad Ost) Latitude und Longitude bestimmen somit die Lage des Erdbebens an der Erdoberfläche (Epizentrum). |
Tiefe | Tiefe des Erdbebenherdes (Hypozentrum) in Kilometer |

Abweichungen der Magnituden: Die Erdbeben in Basel werden nicht nur vom Schweizerischen Erdbebendienst (SED), sondern u.a. auch vom deutschen Landeserdbebendienst (LED) und den beiden französischen Erdbebendiensten Laboratoire de Détection Géophysique (LDG) und Réseau National de Surveillance Sismique (RéNaSS) aufgezeichnet. Die Institute lokalisieren die Erdbeben und weisen ihnen eine Stärke zu, die sogenannte lokale Magnitude (ML). Beim Besuch der Webseiten der einzelnen Erdbebendienste wird dem Beobachter auffallen, dass die Magnitudenangabe für das gleiche Beben bei den unterschiedlichen Erdbebendiensten leicht voneinander abweichen können. Die Magnituden des LDG liegen im Schnitt um 0.5, die von RéNaSS um 0.4 und die des LED um 0.2-0.3 über den Werten des SED. Diese Unterschiede sind generell nicht vermeidbar und liegen in der Methodik der Magnitudenberechnung begründet. Folgende Parameter beinflussen die Magnitudenbestimmung:
Die Angabe der Magnitude ist von daher mit gewissen Unsicherheiten (Fehlern) behaftet, welche jedoch in etwa im Bereich der natürlicherweise vorhandenen Unsicherheiten der Magnitudenangaben liegen. Aus Gründen der Vergleichbarkeit mit früheren Beben in der Schweiz sind die Magnituden des SED für die seismische Überwachung des DHM-Projektes massgebend.
