Joel Schaller

Joel Schaller is an electronics technician at the Electronics Laboratory (ELAB) of SED.

He develops hardware and software solutions in the areas of sensor technology, monitoring, control, and communication to support the operation of seismic stations and measurement campaigns. His work includes the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of such systems in the field, as well as contributions to the renewal and quality assurance of the national seismic network. In addition, he supports the monitoring and operation of seismic networks, assists in field deployments for scientific projects, and provides technical guidance to apprentices at ELAB.
